One of several t(11;17) events that appear identical down the microscope. The KMT2A-MLLT6 chimeric protein consists of the C-terminal AT-hook DNA-binding, methyltransferase and CXXC zinc-finger domains of KMT2A along with the highly conserved octapeptide and the leucine-zipper dimerization motifs of MLLT6<ref> Strehl et al.
