General Disease Overview / Description of Cancer Category

  • Class of mature, peripheral T cell neoplasms of the intestine/ Non-Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL) and monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) are well-defined WHO entities.
  • Aggressive intestinal T-cell lymphomas that do not fulfil the criteria for EATL or MEITL should be classified as intestinal T-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified
  • Indolent T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder is a provisional entity characterized by clonal small mature monomorphic T-cells primarily involving the GI tract
